Fayetteville Shale witnessed a decrease of 1.03% in total oil and gas production to 2,22,174.5 boe/d in June 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production in Fayetteville declined 9.06% in June 2020 from 2,44,308.42 boe/d in June 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 10.16% from the same period in 2019.

In Fayetteville, oil production declined 11.39% in June 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 1.03% to 1,288.57 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 39.43% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 10.16%. Out of the total oil and gas production in June 2020,, while gas had a 99.99% share.


In Fayetteville, Flywheel Energy Production emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 1,44,068.86 boe/d in June 2020, a decrease of 0.67% from the previous month. The company held a 64.85% share in gas production in June 2020.

On a YTD basis, the company registered a 10.28% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.



Compared with other counties within Fayetteville Shale, Van Buren county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 22.67% share in June 2020. The county witnessed a 1.12% decrease in production to 50,359.51 boe/d in June 2020 when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 9.38% in total production from the same period in 2019.
