Floyd-Neal Shale witnessed a decrease of 1.39% in total oil and gas production to 17,615.85 boe/d in May 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Floyd-Neal declined 9.99% in May 2020 from 19,572.07 boe/d in May 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 7.31% from the same period in 2019.
In Floyd-Neal, oil production declined 8.69% in May 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 1.22% to 100.03 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 14.56% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 7.09%. Out of the total oil and gas production in May 2020, oil held a 2.09% share, while gas had a 97.9% share.
In Floyd-Neal, Urban Oil And Gas Group emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 5,599.76 boe/d in May 2020, an increase of 0.31% from the previous month. The company held a 32.47% share in gas production in May 2020.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 6.91% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.
Compared with other counties within Floyd-Neal Shale, Tuscaloosa county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding an 86.39% share in May 2020. The county witnessed a 0.42% increase in production to 15,218.37 boe/d in May 2020 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 6.76% in total production from the same period in 2019.
