Production from Galkynysh Project
The Galkynysh Project conventional gas field recovered 24.19% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2019. The peak production was approximately 2,756 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2093. The field currently accounts for approximately 34% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 3,067.22 Mmboe, comprised of 18,403.26 bcf of natural gas reserves. Galkynysh Project conventional gas field reserves accounts 1.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
