Gavea is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Brazil and is operated by Equinor Brasil Energia. Gavea lies in block C-M-539, with water depth of around 9,515 feet.
The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2027. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2023. The Gavea conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately two wells.

Production from Gavea
Production from the Gavea conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2027 and is forecast to peak in 2030, to approximately 37 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 22.28 Mmboe, comprised of 133.66 bcf of natural gas reserves.
