Gimboa is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Angola and is operated by Sonangol P&P. The field is located in block Block 4 and Gimboa Development Area, with water depth of 2,296 feet.

The field is owned by Sonangol EP, Sociedade Petrolifera Angolana and Acrep – Exploracao Petrolifera.


Production from Gimboa

The Gimboa conventional oil field recovered 88.41% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2011. The peak production was approximately 16.97 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2029.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 5.65 Mmboe, comprised of 5.65 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
