Golden Beach is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Australia and is operated by Carnarvon Hibiscus. Discovered in 1967, Golden Beach lies in block VIC/P57, with water depth of around 164 feet.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. The development cost is expected to be $92 m. The Golden Beach conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately two wells.

Production from Golden Beach

Production from the Golden Beach conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2023, to approximately 43 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2048.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 12.44 Mmboe, comprised of 74.63 bcf of natural gas reserves.
