Goliat is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Norway and is operated by Var Energi . The field is located in block 7122/7P (PL 229), 7122/11P (PL 229 B), 7122/8P (PL 229), and 7122/10P (PL 229), with water depth of 1,269 feet.

Production from Goliat

The Goliat conventional oil field recovered 52.68% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 64.06 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 89.87 Mmboe, comprised of 89.87 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Goliat conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
