Hades-Iris Conventional Gas Field, Norway

Hades-Iris is a conventional gas development located in deepwater in Norway and is operated by OMV (Norge). Discovered in 2018, Hades-Iris lies in block 6506/11P (PL 644 B), 6506/10P (PL 644 C), 6506/10P (PL 644), and 6506/11P (PL 644), with water depth of around 1,420 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Equinor, OMV, DNO, Centrica and Stadtwerke Munchen.

Production from Hades-Iris

Production from the Hades-Iris conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2027, to approximately 9,919 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 240 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2058.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 157.52 Mmboe, comprised of 31.3 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 757.3 bcf of natural gas reserves.
