Hebron Project Heavy Oil Field, Canada

Hebron Project is a producing heavy oil field located in shallow water in Canada and is operated by ExxonMobil Canada Properties. The field is located in block SDL 1006, SDL 1009, and SDL 1010, with water depth of 328 feet.

The field is owned by Chevron, Suncor Energy, Equinor, Nalcor Energy and Exxon Mobil.


Production from Hebron Project

The Hebron Project heavy oil field recovered 17.46% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2023. The peak production will approximately 145.21 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2044. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 546.52 Mmboe, comprised of 546.52 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Hebron Project heavy oil field reserves accounts 1.25% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
