Hokchi is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Mexico and is operated by Hokchi Energy . The field is located in block R01-L02-A2, with water depth of 75 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Hokchi, namely Hokchi Phase 2. This project is currently in the approval stage.

The field is owned by BP , China National Offshore Oil , Bridas Energy Holdings and E&P Hidrocarburos y Servicios.

Production from Hokchi

The Hokchi conventional oil field recovered 1.47% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 25.77 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 7 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 135.15 Mmboe, comprised of 128.55 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 39.6 bcf of natural gas reserves. Hokchi conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
