Jalalabad is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Bangladesh and is operated by Chevron. The field is located in block Block 13.

Production from Jalalabad

The Jalalabad conventional gas field recovered 57.28% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 1.6 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 274 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2063. The field currently accounts for approximately 8% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 178.76 Mmboe, comprised of 5.37 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 1,040.37 bcf of natural gas reserves. Jalalabad conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.06% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
