Kakap PSC is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Indonesia and is operated by Star Energy (kakap). The field is located in block Kakap, with water depth of 280 feet.

The field is owned by PT Pertamina (Persero), Batavia Oil & Gas, China National Petroleum, PT Star Energy and PT Barito Pacific.


Production from Kakap PSC

The Kakap PSC conventional oil field recovered 98.41% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1995. The peak production was approximately 40.66 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 3.27 Mmboe, comprised of 0.95 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 13.9 bcf of natural gas reserves.
