Six expansion projects are associated with the Kashagan conventional oil field, namely the Kashagan Phase 2, the Kashagan Future Gas Expansion (Phase A), the Kashagan CFP, the Aktote, the Kairan and the Kashagan Southwest. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2072. The field currently accounts for approximately 17% of the country’s daily output.
