Khalda Development Lease is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Egypt and is operated by Khalda Petroleum. The field is located in block Khalda Development Lease.
Two expansion projects are associated with the Khalda Development Lease conventional oil field, namely Khalda Extension 3 and Khalda Extension 2. The expansion projects are currently in the feasibility stage.

Production from Khalda Development Lease
The Khalda Development Lease conventional oil field recovered 97.69% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2009. The peak production was approximately 94.94 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 725 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2025. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 26.66 Mmboe, comprised of 159.97 bcf of natural gas reserves. Khalda Development Lease conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
