King Embayment is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in the US and is operated by Shell Offshore. Discovered in 2019, King Embayment lies in block Mississippi Canyon 764, with water depth of around 3,283 feet.
The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025.

Production from King Embayment
Production from the King Embayment conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 24,920 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2079.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 136.11 Mmboe, comprised of 136.11 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
