Klymene is a conventional oil development located onshore Kazakhstan and is operated by Tethys Petroleum. Discovered in 2020, Klymene lies in block Blocks XXVII-24-A-P,B-P,D-P ,E-P,F-P, 25-D-P, XXVIII-23-B-P,C,D-P,E-P,F, 24, 25-A-P,B-P,C-P,D,E-P,F-P, XXIX-23-A,B-P,C-P,D,E-P,F-P, 24-A-P,B-P,C-P,E-P,F-P, 25-A-P,B-P,C-P,D-P,E-P,F, and XXX-24-A-P,B-P,C-P,D-P,E-P,F-P, 25-A-P,B-P,C-P,D-P,E.

The project is currently in commissioning stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022.

Production from Klymene

Production from the Klymene conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2022, to approximately 2,180 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2070.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 10.55 Mmboe, comprised of 10.55 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
