Kome is a producing heavy oil field located onshore Chad and is operated by Esso Exploration and Production Chad. The field is located in block DOF and Kome Development Area.

Production from Kome

The Kome heavy oil field recovered 88.39% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 91.66 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040. The field currently accounts for approximately 7% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 39.31 Mmboe, comprised of 39.31 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Kome heavy oil field reserves accounts 0.09% of total remaining reserves of producing heavy oil fields globally.
