Loma La Lata is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Argentina and is operated by YPF. The field is located in block Loma La Lata – Sierra Barrosa.

Production from Loma La Lata

The Loma La Lata conventional gas field recovered 88.54% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2003. The peak production was approximately 27.51 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 1,169 Mmcfd of natural gas and 5.51 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 132.5 Mmboe, comprised of 12.24 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 668 bcf of natural gas reserves and 8.93 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Loma La Lata conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
