Luhais and Subba is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Iraq and is operated by Dhi Qar Oil . The field is located in block Subba and Luhais Contract.

An expansion project is associated with the Luhais and Subba, namely Luhais EOR. This project is currently in the approval stage.

Production from Luhais and Subba

The Luhais and Subba conventional oil field recovered 64.13% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 102.78 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 36 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2053. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 490.1 Mmboe, comprised of 435.24 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 329.17 bcf of natural gas reserves. Luhais and Subba conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.11% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
