Lula NordEste is a producing conventional oil field located in ultra-deepwater in Brazil and is operated by Petroleo Brasileiro. The field is located in block BM-S-11 (Tupi), with water depth of 7,218 feet.

Production from Lula NordEste

The Lula NordEste conventional oil field recovered 40.52% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 113.77 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 65 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2052. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 475.48 Mmboe, comprised of 422.06 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 320.49 bcf of natural gas reserves. Lula NordEste conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.10% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
