Magnus is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in the UK and is operated by EnQuest Heather. The field is located in block 211/7a ALL and 211/12a ALL, with water depth of 2,002 feet.
An expansion project is associated with the Magnus, namely Magnus Infill Development . This project is currently in the approval stage, expected to start in 2022.
Field participation details
The field is owned by EnQuest.
Production from Magnus
The Magnus conventional oil field recovered 97.36% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1994. The peak production was approximately 143.58 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 109 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2028. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 27.62 Mmboe, comprised of 19.73 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 47.36 bcf of natural gas reserves. Magnus conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
Methodology
