Marjan Complex is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Saudi Arabia and is operated by Saudi Arabian Oil. The field is located in block Saudi Aramco Concession Area.
Two expansion projects are associated with the Marjan Complex conventional oil field, namely Marjan Expansion and Lawhah Development. The expansion projects are currently in the construction stage.

Production from Marjan Complex
The Marjan Complex conventional oil field recovered 28.49% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2027. The peak production will approximately 784 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 627 Mmcfd of natural gas and 352.8 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2068. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 18,948.98 Mmboe, comprised of 12,706.51 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 10,405.79 bcf of natural gas reserves and 4,508.17 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Marjan Complex conventional oil field reserves accounts 4.11% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
