Marmalard is a producing conventional oil field located in ultra-deepwater in the US and is operated by Murphy Exploration & Production. The field is located in block Mississippi Canyon 300, Mississippi Canyon 255, Mississippi Canyon 301, and Mississippi Canyon 299, with water depth of 6,131 feet.

The field is owned by Murphy Oil, Red Willow Production, Calypso Exploration, Talos Energy, Ridgewood Energy, Kosmos Energy, Houston Energy Deepwater Ventures III and Crux1.


Production from Marmalard

The Marmalard conventional oil field recovered 56.98% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2017. The peak production was approximately 35.5 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 73 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2045.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 56.23 Mmboe, comprised of 42.71 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 81.11 bcf of natural gas reserves. Marmalard conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
