Marun is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Iran and is operated by Maroun Oil & Gas Producing.
Two expansion projects are associated with the Marun conventional oil field, namely Marun Phase 6 and Marun Phase 4. The expansion projects are currently in the feasibility stage.

Production from Marun
The Marun conventional oil field recovered 88.03% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1977. The peak production was approximately 1,300 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2061. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 1,739.75 Mmboe, comprised of 1,739.75 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Marun conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.38% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
