Mela is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Pakistan and is operated by Oil & Gas Development. The field is located in block Mela and 3370-10 (Nashpa).

Production from Mela

The Mela conventional oil field recovered 65.01% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2009. The peak production was approximately 5.71 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 17 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2042. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 15.18 Mmboe, comprised of 10.95 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 25.39 bcf of natural gas reserves.
