The midstream segment contracts in Europe registered an increase of 5% with 22 contracts in October 2022, when compared with the previous month’s total of 21 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 22 contracts were registered in the midstream segment of Europe during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 20 contracts.


In terms of the number of contracts in Europe, the upstream segment contributed the most with 138 contracts in October 2022, followed by midstream and downstream segments with 22 and five contracts, respectively.


Contract award activity in Europe’s midstream segment during October 2022

In October 2022, the UK led the activity with five contracts and a 23% share of the midstream oil and gas contracts in Europe. It saw an increase of 400% over the previous month’s total of one contract and an increase of 150% when compared with the last 12 month-average of two contracts in the UK.

In second place was Russia with three contracts and a 14% share, followed by Monaco with two contracts and a 9% share.

Based on 12-month moving average of the contracts in the midstream segment of Europe, Russia took the top spot with five contracts, followed by the UK and Greece with three and two contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of midstream segment contracts awarded in the Europe were in the operations & maintenance with 11 contracts, followed by design & engineering and procurement with seven and six contracts, respectively.
