Mowry Shale witnessed an increase of 16.13% in total oil and gas production to 20,904 boe/d in June 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Mowry declined 24.93% in June 2020 from 27,846.45 boe/d in June 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 15.09% from the same period in 2019.
In Mowry, oil production grew 19.24% in June 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production increased by 1.42% to 18.54 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 15.35% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 13.5%. Out of the total oil and gas production in June 2020, oil held an 84.71% share, while gas had a 15.29% share.
In Mowry, Merit Energy emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 14,110.97 boe/d in June 2020, an increase of 7.7% from the previous month. The company held a 71.83% share in oil production and 43.58% share in gas production in June 2020.
On a YTD basis, the company registered an 11.71% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.
Compared with other counties within Mowry Shale, Park county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 65.28% share in June 2020. The county witnessed a 17.34% increase in production to 13,646.83 boe/d in June 2020 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, it registered a decline of 15.72% in total production from the same period in 2019.
