Mumbai High is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in India and is operated by Oil and Natural Gas. The field is located in block Mumbai High-SW and Mumbai High NW, with water depth of 191 feet.
Four expansion projects are associated with the Mumbai High conventional oil field, namely Mumbai High Noth (MHN) – Phase IV, Mumbai High South (MHS) – Phase IV, Mumbai High EOR and Heera Re-development Phase-III Project. The expansion projects are currently in the construction, commissioning and approval stage, targeting start-up during 2021 – 2035.

Production from Mumbai High
The Mumbai High conventional oil field recovered 82.88% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2004. The peak production was approximately 367.32 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 640 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2037. The field currently accounts for approximately 29% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 1,016.7 Mmboe, comprised of 647.09 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2,217.65 bcf of natural gas reserves. Mumbai High conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.21% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
