Noroeste de Sapinhoa Conventional Oil Field, Brazil

Noroeste de Sapinhoa is a producing conventional oil field located in ultra-deepwater in Brazil and is operated by Petroleo Brasileiro. The field is located in block BM-S-9 (Sapinhoa), Entorno De Sapinhoa, and Noroeste De Sapinhoa, with water depth of 7,021 feet.

The field is owned by Petroleo Brasileiro, Shell, China Petrochemical and Repsol.


Production from Noroeste de Sapinhoa

The Noroeste de Sapinhoa conventional oil field recovered 19.68% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2019. The peak production was approximately 3.09 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 5 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2052.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 16.17 Mmboe, comprised of 13.98 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 13.13 bcf of natural gas reserves.
