North Field East is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Qatar and is operated by QatarEnergy.
The project is currently in commissioning stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project was approved in 2021. The North Field East conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately 80 wells and includes wellhead platform.

Production from North Field East
Production from the North Field East conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2027, to approximately 259,828 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 160,893 bpd of natural gas liquids and 4,197 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2070.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 11,322.6 Mmboe, comprised of 2,547.82 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 43,170.43 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves and 1,579.69 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves.
