Northern Gas Complex is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Angola and is operated by Eni Angola . Discovered in 1970, Northern Gas Complex lies in block Northern Gas Complex Area, with water depth of around 328 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2024. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022. The Northern Gas Complex conventional gas development will includes wellhead platform.

Production from Northern Gas Complex

Production from the Northern Gas Complex conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 43,097 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 518 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2050.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 583.2 Mmboe, comprised of 194.46 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 2,332.44 bcf of natural gas reserves.
