Offshore North Sinai Development Lease is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Egypt and is operated by North Sinai Petroleum. The field is located in block Offshore North Sinai Concession and Offshore North Sinai Development Lease, with water depth of 280 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Offshore North Sinai Development Lease, namely North Sinai Phase 2. This project is currently in the feasibility stage.

Production from Offshore North Sinai Development Lease

The Offshore North Sinai Development Lease conventional gas field recovered 57.39% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2009. The peak production was approximately 180 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2048. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 51.66 Mmboe, comprised of 309.94 bcf of natural gas reserves. Offshore North Sinai Development Lease conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
