Ogarrio is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Mexico and is operated by Deutsche Erdoel Mexico S de R L de CV. The field is located in block A-0244-Ogarrio.

An expansion project is associated with the Ogarrio, namely Ogarrio Development . This project is currently in the commissioning stage.

The field is owned by Petroleos Mexicanos, BASF and LetterOne Holdings.


Production from Ogarrio

The Ogarrio conventional oil field recovered 75.87% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1960. The peak production was approximately 26.3 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 35 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2055.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 91.5 Mmboe, comprised of 87.86 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 21.84 bcf of natural gas reserves. Ogarrio conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
