Ohio witnessed in total oil and gas production to 12,01,769.86 boe/d in March 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production declined 3.9% in March 2020 from 12,50,570.99 boe/d in March 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2020 decreased by 3.9% from the same period in 2019.
In March 2020, oil production stood at 71,066.03 bd, while gas production stood at 6,558.08 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 11.24% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 4.72%. Out of the total oil and gas production in March 2020, oil held a 5.91% share, while gas had a 94.08% share.
In Ohio, Ascent Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 3,89,100.71 boe/d in March 2020 from the previous month. The company held a 36.18% share in oil production and 32.14% share in gas production in March 2020.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 5.38% increase in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.
Compared with other counties in Ohio, Belmont county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 33.15% share in March 2020. The county witnessed in production to 3,98,420.7 boe/d in March 2020 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, Belmont registered a decline of 10.56% in total production from the same period in 2019.
