NC8 is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Malaysia and is operated by PETRONAS Carigali International Sdn. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, NC8 was discovered in 2012, lies in block SK 316, with water depth of around 2,297 feet. Production from NC8
Production from the NC8 conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 55 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2061.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 40.17 Mmboe, comprised of 241.04 bcf of natural gas reserves.
