Ourhoud Conventional Oil Field, Algeria

Ourhoud is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Algeria and is operated by Organisation Ourhoud. The field is located in block Block 404, Ourhoud (Block 405a), and Rhourde El Khrouf (Block 406a).

Field participation details

The field is owned by PT Pertamina (Persero), Repsol, Sonatrach, Eni, TotalEnergies, Occidental Petroleum and Compania Espanola de Petroleos SAU.


Production from Ourhoud

The Ourhoud conventional oil field recovered 78.37% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2007. The peak production was approximately 238 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 317.74 Mmboe, comprised of 317.74 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Ourhoud conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.07% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
