Royale Energy records 16.42% decrease in production in May 2020

Royale Energy recorded a decrease of 16.42% in total oil and gas production to 959.62 boe/d in May 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Royale Energy declined 12.17% in May 2020 from 1,092.56 boe/d in May 2019.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production increased by 5.88% from the same period in 2019.

The company’s oil production declined 9.2% to 728.32 bd in May 2020 from the previous month, while gas production declined by 33.33% to 1.34 mmcf/d. On a YTD basis, oil production increased by 4.68% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production rose by 9.49%. Out of the total oil and gas production in May 2020, oil production held a 75.9% share, while gas production held a 24.08% share.


Looking at the states where Royale Energy recorded the highest oil and gas production in May 2020, California figured at the top. The company produced 959.62 boe/d in the state in May 2020, a decrease of 16.42% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 5,483.18 boe/d in California in 2020, recording an increase of 5.88% from the same period in 2019.



Royale Energy witnessed the highest oil and gas production in Los Angeles county in May 2020. Out of all the counties, Los Angeles county held a share of 92.97% for the firm. The company produced 892.17 boe/d in Los Angeles county in May 2020, a decrease of 16.93% in production when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 5,072.37 boe/d for the company in 2020, an 8.34% increase from the same period in 2019.
