Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye) Conventional Gas Field, Russia

Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye) is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Russia and is operated by Severneftegazprom. The field is located in block Russky South (Yuzhno-Russky) (SLKh).

An expansion project is associated with the Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye), namely Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye) Development. This project is currently in the commissioning stage, expected to start in 2022.

The field is owned by LetterOne Holdings, Gazprom, BASF and OMV.

Production from Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye)

The Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye) conventional gas field recovered 51.74% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2011. The peak production was approximately 2,475 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2047. The field currently accounts for approximately 2% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 1,853.46 Mmboe, comprised of 11,120.72 bcf of natural gas reserves. Russkoye South (Yuzhno-Russkoye) conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.63% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
