Santuario is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Mexico and is operated by Perenco Mexico. The field is located in block A-0396-Santuario.
An expansion project is associated with the Santuario, namely Santuario Development. This project is currently in the approval stage.

Production from Santuario
The Santuario conventional oil field recovered 46.96% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 20.92 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 9 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2063. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 107.14 Mmboe, comprised of 104.63 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 15.05 bcf of natural gas reserves. Santuario conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
