Production from Sierra Chata

The Sierra Chata conventional gas field recovered 73.76% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1999. The peak production was approximately 145 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2058. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 50.82 Mmboe, comprised of 0.04 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 300.35 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.73 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Sierra Chata conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.02% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
