Production from Sierras Blancas
The Sierras Blancas unconventional oil field recovered 32.37% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2020. The peak production was approximately 4.55 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 2 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2049.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 11.98 Mmboe, comprised of 10.84 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 6.83 bcf of natural gas reserves. Sierras Blancas unconventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing unconventional oil fields globally.
