South Oil Project is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Kazakhstan and is operated by South Oil. The field is located in block Karabulak South-West (Yuzhno-Zapadno-Karabulak) (Block XXVIII-37-B (P)), Akshabulak East (Vostochno-Akshabulak) (Block XXIX-39-E (P)), Kenlyk (Blocks XXVIII-37-B (P), E (P), F (P)), and Blocks XXVIII-37-A, B, D (P), E (P), F (P).

Production from South Oil Project
The South Oil Project conventional oil field recovered 60.37% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2014. The peak production was approximately 19.07 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 6 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2055.

The field is expected to recover 45.04 Mmboe, comprised of 41.37 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 22.04 bcf of natural gas reserves. South Oil Project conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
