South Pakarang is a producing conventional gas field located in shallow water in Thailand and is operated by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production. The field is located in block B11, with water depth of 233 feet.

Production from South Pakarang

The South Pakarang conventional gas field recovered 77.07% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2018. The peak production was approximately 3.23 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 80 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2030. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 10.52 Mmboe, comprised of 4.44 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 36.43 bcf of natural gas reserves.
