Southern Ute Indian Tribe records 19.1% decrease in production in May 2020

Southern Ute Indian Tribe recorded a decrease of 19.1% in total oil and gas production to 19,019.38 boe/d in May 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production of Southern Ute Indian Tribe declined 13.78% in May 2020 from 22,060.23 boe/d in May 2019.

On a YTD basis, the company’s total oil and gas production increased by 1.78% from the same period in 2019.

The company’s gas production declined by 19.1% to 110.31 mmcf/d in May 2020 from the previous month. On a YTD basis, gas production rose by 1.78% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019. Out of the total oil and gas production in May 2020, gas production held a 100% share.


Looking at the states where Southern Ute Indian Tribe recorded the highest oil and gas production in May 2020, Colorado figured at the top. The company produced 19,019.38 boe/d in the state in May 2020, a decrease of 19.1% from the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the company produced 1,15,175.9 boe/d in Colorado in 2020, recording an increase of 1.78% from the same period in 2019.



Southern Ute Indian Tribe witnessed the highest oil and gas production in La Plata county in May 2020. Out of all the counties, La Plata county held a share of 90.91% for the firm. The company produced 17,290.05 boe/d in La Plata county in May 2020, a decrease of 2.52% in production when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, the county produced 90,375.01 boe/d for the company in 2020, a 10.56% decrease from the same period in 2019.
