Susangerd Heavy Oil Field, Iran

Susangerd is a heavy oil development located onshore Iran and is operated by Arvandan Oil & Gas. Discovered in 2009, Susangerd lies in block Susangerd.

The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2023.

The field is owned by National Iranian Oil.

Production from Susangerd

Production from the Susangerd heavy oil development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2034, to approximately 30,000 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2058.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 195.85 Mmboe, comprised of 195.85 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
