Tchendo is a producing conventional oil field located in shallow water in Congo Republic and is operated by Perenco Exploration & Production Congo. The field is located in block Tchendo, with water depth of 328 feet.

An expansion project is associated with the Tchendo, namely Tchendo Infill Development. This project is currently in the commissioning stage, expected to start in 2022.

The field is owned by Perenco Holdings, NOR Energy, Petromal, Africa Oil & Gas, Continent Congo and Societe Nationale des Petroles du Congo.


Production from Tchendo

The Tchendo conventional oil field recovered 81.17% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 1993. The peak production was approximately 19.63 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2046. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
