Tortue (Senegal) is a conventional gas development located in ultra-deepwater in Senegal and is operated by BP. Discovered in 2016, Tortue (Senegal) lies in block St Louis Offshore Profond and Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (Senegal), with water depth of around 8,856 feet.
The project is currently in construction stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2023. Final investment decision (FID) of the project was approved in 2018. The Tortue (Senegal) conventional gas development will includes FLNG, FPSO, subsea manifold, and subsea trees.

Production from Tortue (Senegal)
Production from the Tortue (Senegal) conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2023 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 3,997 bpd of crude oil and condensate, 35 Mmcfd of natural gas and 165 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2040.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 226.71 Mmboe, comprised of 15.91 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 221.34 bcf of natural gas reserves and 1,043.48 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves.
