Turangi is a producing conventional gas field located onshore New Zealand and is operated by Greymouth Petroleum Turangi. The field is located in block 174E39/2 (PMP 38161).

Production from Turangi

The Turangi conventional gas field recovered 37.85% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2022. The peak production was approximately 1.51 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 49 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2060. The field currently accounts for approximately 10% of the country’s daily output.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 40.08 Mmboe, comprised of 6.88 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 199.21 bcf of natural gas reserves. Turangi conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
