Valle Hermoso Conventional Oil Field, Argentina

Valle Hermoso is a producing conventional oil field located onshore Argentina and is operated by Pan American Energy (Sucursal Argentina). The field is located in block Anticlinal Grande – Cerro Dragon.

The field is owned by China National Offshore Oil, Bridas Energy Holdings and BP.

Production from Valle Hermoso

The Valle Hermoso conventional oil field recovered 78.27% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2007. The peak production was approximately 13.2 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 65 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2031. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 37.79 Mmboe, comprised of 10.41 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 161.77 bcf of natural gas reserves and 0.42 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Valle Hermoso conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.01% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
