Van Gogh is a producing heavy oil field located in deepwater in Australia and is operated by Santos WA PVG. The field is located in block WA-155-P, WA-35-L, and WA-55-L, with water depth of 1,207 feet.

Production from Van Gogh

The Van Gogh heavy oil field recovered 32.86% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2019. The peak production was approximately 40 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2068. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.
